Interlaboratory Proficiency Testing Providers

Description of the activity

Proficiency Testing Providers are responsible for organizing proficiency testing, from planning and selection to preparation of objects/samples/materials, from material homogeneity and stability testing to sample distribution to participants, from statistical data analysis to results evaluation and issuance of participant performance reports.

The activity performed by Proficiency Testing Providers is therefore essential to enabling participating laboratories to monitor their performance over time through ongoing participation.

Proficiency Testing Providers accreditation represents a third-party certification that guarantees the technical competence of the proficiency testing organizer in designing, organizing, and managing the tests specified in the accreditation scope.

Document issued

The validity of interlaboratory proficiency testing is certified by the interlaboratory proficiency testing report, issued by the interlaboratory proficiency testing organizer who performed the assessment activity.

What the report guarantees

The interlaboratory proficiency testing report guarantees that the comparison between multiple laboratories is carried out correctly.

What the report does NOT guarantee

The guarantee applies to specific tests, using certain methods. Absolute equivalence between different laboratories is not guaranteed.

To submit the application for accreditation, you must request login information to the «DA-online» portal, where the web version of the DA-06 All.1 must be completed.

Login information must be requested by emailing info@accredia.it. If using a certified email address, the request should be sent to dl_accredia@legalmail.it.

The following information must be included in the request email:

• Contact name
• PTP name
• PTP VAT number and tax code
• Contact email (preferably use emails with the PTP’s domain, not personal ones).

You will receive an email with instructions for choosing a password.

Already accredited PTPs must log in to the «DA-online» portal to request changes, cancellation, updates, or extensions. The data will be automatically recorded in the system.

The accreditation application process must be completed by filling forms DA-00 – Application for Accreditation and DA-06 – List of evaluation tests and equipment under accreditation, and the attachments included therein.

Completed documents must be sent to info@accredia.it in case of first accreditation, or to the Techincal Officer in case of PTP already accredited.
