Launch of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated: webinars on 14 April 2026

On April 14, Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated will host two webinars of great importance to the world of conformity assessment.

The new global association of accreditation bodies and quality stakeholders will present its activities and officially launch its name and brand worldwide.

• Unveil the organisation’s new acronym, logo, social media channels and website

• Celebrate the launch of the organisation

• Highlight the importance of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MRA) in supporting trust in international trade

Effective from January 1, 2026, Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated was born from the merger of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to represent accreditation bodies and conformity assessment stakeholders globally.

This integration into a single structure simplifies and streamlines the global conformity assessment system, avoiding duplication of assessments, harmonizing policies and procedures, and promoting consistent application of technical standards across different sectors and national contexts.

A central element of the new structure is Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated’s Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), which unequivocally guarantees the recognition of conformity assessment results and the acceptance of certificates and reports issued by accredited bodies and laboratories.
